The module's driver test measures all drivers to determine whether they are within normal operational thresholds or exhibit abnormal behavior.

Performing a Driver Test

The Driver test can be triggered for all module types.

During the test, all X1 –MD96 and MD80-S Modules will play a test tone.

Before starting

  • Make sure all modules are online and awake before running the Driver Test.

How to run a Driver Test

  1. To run the test across all modules, navigate to the Device List section's right panel, click the three-dot menu in the top right corner, and select "Run Driver Test." If you want to run the test in specific modules, check the boxes next to the desired modules, then click the three-dot menu on the action bar that appears when you make your selection.

  2. Click the Start button and let the test run.

  3. Once done, the results are displayed on the same window.

  4. The results can be exported and shared with HOLOPLOT for further maintenance.

On X1, the impact of the Driver Test results on the hardware health status is not retained after the modules are rebooted. When an Audio Module is rebooted, the effect of the Driver Test on its health is reset until another test is conducted. However, the results of previous tests can still be found in the Event Log.

Reading the results

The test results are recorded in the Event Logger and can be accessed anytime. The results of the Driver Test will impact a module's Hardware health status. This result is only valid until a module is rebooted and a new Driver Test is conducted.

Details

🟢 Pass

Drivers are functioning correctly. Operation is normal.

🔴 Fail

Drivers are faulty. Contact HOLOPLOT for further assistance.

⚪️ Unknown

Drivers are not reporting any information, or we cannot accurately report its status.

Check modules are online and awake and repeat the test.

X2 Continuous Driver Test

X2 modules continuously monitor the health of all Drivers and report any abnormality within 100 seconds. To check the status of all Drivers on X2 modules:

  1. On the Device List, click the row of the X2 module you want to monitor.

  2. The side panel with all the module's details overlays. Scroll down to Drivers and monitor the status every 1000ms.

  3. To see only information related to Drivers with issues, check the Show only drivers with issues box. If the list is empty, it indicates that all drivers are functioning properly.
